Galaxy

From the Menu screen, tap Galaxy. This displays the solar system for your current planet. At the top is displayed the Galaxy Number, and the System Number. You can view other solar systems by changing these numbers and tapping the “Go” button (a small amount of deuterium is required).

The Galaxy screen lists all the orbital positions (or “slots”) beginning with the closest to the sun (slot 1) down to the farthest (slot 15). Occupied slots display a planetary image and the following:

  • Player Name (the planet’s owner)
  • Player’s rank
  • Planet Name
  • Recent Activity (if any) on the planet
  • Additional Information (see Legend at the bottom of the screen)

Tapping a planet image opens the Planet Profile screen, with some additional information and option buttons:

  • Write Message - send a Private Message to this player.
  • Buddy Request – send a Buddy Request to this player.
  • Statistics – open the Statistics screen, with this player’s stats highlighted.
  • Spy – launch a spy mission at this planet (or moon if available); automatically sends the default number of espionage probes you’ve set in your Settings.
  • Attack – opens the Fleet selection screen, where you can select ships to send. This planet or moon is automatically selected as the target, and “Attack” is automatically selected as the mission type.
  • Transport - opens the Fleet selection screen. This planet or moon is automatically selected as the target, and “Transport” is automatically selected as the mission type.
  • Hold Position - opens the Fleet selection screen. This planet or moon is automatically selected as the target, and “Hold Position” is automatically selected as the mission type.
  • Phalanx - initiates a Phalanx scan of the target planet (only available if you are on a moon with a Phalanx constructed, and the target planet is within range).
  • Recycle - launches a recycle mission to harvest the debris field around the planet (if present). Automatically sends all the recyclers you have available, up to the max amount required to harvest the debris.
  • Destroy - Only available if the target is a moon. Opens the Fleet selection screen. This moon is automatically selected as the target, and “Destroy” is automatically selected as the mission type (if you select a Deathstar as the ship type).

Activity Indicator

A star (an asterisk, *) is shown next to the planet’s name if there has been activity there within the last ten-minutes. After ten minutes and up to fifty-nine minutes, the actual time since last activity is displayed next to the planet’s name. After one hour of inactivity, the indicator disappears. Any activity that “refreshes” the planet Overview will cause an activity indicator.

Hint: Virtually no activity on a moon will trigger an activity timer, including Refreshing its Overview

Refreshing the Overview

The Overview of a planet or moon is “refreshed”, or updated to its latest/most current state, in a number of ways:

  • The planet owner “viewing” the planet by tapping on it in the Overview or Empire screen’s list of planets
  • Tapping other menu items on the planet
  • Being spied by another player
  • Fleet arrivals or launches
  • A battle occurring
